Off to Brum for the day tomorrow. Any recommendations on what to see or do or photograph in the centre of town?

Birmingham Library, Brindleyplace and down by the canals around the Malt House are well worth a gander and offer very decent photographic opportunities. All within 5 mins of each other about a 10 minute walk from New St station. A bit further out of town is Jewelry Quarter (with its own station on the Snow Hill lines), again well worth a look.

Take a few pics of the New St. redevelopment please? I haven't been to the station for over a year now, so would like to see how it looks inside :)

I don't think anyone would mind a few iPhone pics :)

Last time I was there, one half of the concourse was finished - I was amazed how the place was transformed from "public toilet" to a pleasant place to be.

It certainly isn't a pleasant place to be when there's any reasonable volume of passengers. I do hope it improved vastly when fully complete as at the moment it is abysmal for dealing with passenger flows.
