Does anybody know the numbers of the SPV vans that used to be stored at Kettering, at the sidings, in the late '70s? Trying to find out for a friend. Much appreciated.

Oh wow - memories. I used to collect stock - so GUVs, SPVs, CCTs and ultra rare Gold Bullion Vehicles. It is possible I have this documented but it would be in my note books back in England and I am currently in the USA. There is a guy who may be able to help you. He runs South Yorkshire Railways I think and owns an 03 shunter and also PWM654. His name is John Wade.

Paul Bartlett has some photos. Looks to be first used for fish but then used for parcels after BR lost the fish traffic.

They were certainly used on the Spekeland Road - Rugby parcels specials which used to run monthly, carrying freshly printed copies of the Readers Digest. Late 70s/ early 80s? A different world!
