Hi all,

Will anyone here be at the gala, as I will be there on the Saturday (13th of September). If so we could meet up somewhere.

PM me or reply here if you are going and please bear in mind that I have never attended a forum meet before so I won't know anyone by sight. Also I might as well say that my phone is a tiny thing but does have access to the net, but the connection is poor so I might not be able to post.

Friday I will be at home/Nottingham and up to my grandparents that evening (around 22:00) who live in Pickering.

Saturday I will be out bashing.

Sunday I will be heading home from pickering around 08:30.

I clocked 31466 being hauled up the ECML to the 'Moors line north of York this afternoon. Does anybody know which West Coast 47 was doing the hauling? Passed it at some speed while heading in the opposite direction!

I can't do the Saturday because of the Etches Park Open Day so I'm going Friday and planning to be on the first train from Pickering (08:24) up to Whitby then Battersby. If anyone is around on Friday, drop me a PM!

I think I may have clocked you if you started on the 08.24 ex Pickering rather than the 09.26. Were you in light trousers with a blue top and red notebook? I wasn't going to ask as I didn't even know your real name! I did manage to introduce myself to 37038 though, as I knew who he was due to a Deltic connection with his dad going back many years.

Yep, that would be me! I changed my plans as my dad was going out on that turn and it would be good to get to Whitby.
