There is a bus spotter in Peterhead too, knows nearly every driver but i don't think he flails at buses.

I hate buses.

The buses in Aberdeen are wuite good. Reliable, not too dear...

Glasgow buses are about 10x worse than Aberdeen, Fife, Edinburgh, Jersey CI, Almeria... Everywhere.

I never use the Suburban buses in Aberdeen, always the long distance Stagecoach Peterhead - Aberdeen return = 9 quid! for an unpleasent boring 1 hour and 15 minute journey.

I remember aftee the beds finished with tractors we had a couple of night in some place near Glasgow (Moodisburn I think it was called) and did a couple of units, had a look around and went over to Edinburgh to see it in the day, not at 0200 in the morning! Coming into Glasgow the one day on the Bus it burst on some motorway section of the route, everybody off and try and flag down the one behind

Glasgow buses are dirty, smelly, unreliable, full of neds. First Glasgow as well; I'm surprised! First Aberdeen do a far better job in my limited experiece. Everything up to time, friendly drivers (sadly some don't speak a word of english, but can't really complain there), clean interiors...

Didn't realise you lived outside Aberdeen, Jord! I thought were in the city... £9 is a rip off, though. It's a tenner from Glasgow to Aberdeen by train (Advance purchase, of course).

Yes, i live in Peterhead, a cold, windy, boring place that stinks of fish.

The bus that i get sometimes returning from a trip late at night, the drunks are usually sick on there so it stinks or there's alcahol on the floor or on the seat so that stinks to, but most of the time it's fine just except the price!

Buses are useful, fantastic for getting anyhere if they're on time and everything. Given the choice, I'd drive/be driven/take the train/anything else.

But they are better than fare-jacking taxis. (£15 to Ninewells Hospital from Dundee station? I think not! Comfy, faster bus ride to city centre for £1.35)

Agreed with Taxi's are expensive.

9 quid return Peterhead - Aberdeen on the bus or you can take a Taxi and pay 45 quid.

Sign at Leuchars station (the bus costs £2) "Taxi to St. Andrews for just £8-10!!!" idiots. And of course, you're in a cramped environment with some guy you don't know taking you to somewhere you may not know, all the time watching the machine tick up by 20p each second.

What kind of church do you go to?!? As long as you endeavour not to sin and repent afterwards then you won't go to hell awas what I've always been taught.

Judging by what has been said, I must be a bus spotter as well!
I know most of the drivers (well so would you if you're the 1st person on the bus at 7:15 in the morning) and I know the fleet numbers as well as the latest movements.
