I've noticed that the Thameslink stations have started to be de-branded - posters and notices have had stickers placed over the First Capital Connect logo. I assume this is an interim measure and in due course all these items will be replaced.

I noticed some EMT stickers stuck over the FCC bit on the "Bedford" platform signs the other day. I assume EMT aren't taking over the station though?

As far as I'm aware, that's not the plan. EMT staff probably just gave FCC staff some stickers to cover them up with until the new TL/GN stickers are released.

The new management contract means revenue goes to the Government doesn't it?

If so, if FCC does some crazy deals now then it will presumably impact on the revenue that goes to the Government, and that might not go down too well with future franchise bids?

Also, you could argue that they've done some really cheap offers for some time with the super off peak tickets. With my railcard, £10-£11 St Albans to Brighton is pretty amazing (and the same price with Groupsave too). Likewise, a Travelcard on a weekend is pretty cheap. And FCC was blitzing the place with leaflets promoting the offers, and of course their own cheap tickets and 2for1 deals in and around town.

can you or someone post a pic of the uniform (if there is one?) as I believe southern and gat ex will have the same uniform just will different branding (according to the GTR website).... ta.

In the last year of the franchise, TOC's must consult with the dft if they wish to introduce any new fares (i.e. cheaper discounted fares) so as not to harm the future TOC's if they introduce a really cheap fare.

Reading it, there's a interim uniform that just looks like its replaced the FCC parts with purple. Its a cartoon so not a great indication but does look like the current one just with purple ties/scarf/name badge.

Just had a GTR site and the uniforms on there seem to look what I've got.

The www.thameslinkrailway.com site is now live with just a FAQ page currently with this information...

What changes can I expect to see?

We will be changing everything over to our brand as quickly as possible. Trains, posters and leaflets will be in our new look – many by our first day of service. We hope you like it.

Umm I think you're wrong as I've just had a look on the Android App Store and the only On Track Apps are for Southern, London Midland or South Eastern.

There's NOTHING for Thameslink or Great Northern on it :cry:

They are covering up midland mainline stickers underneath.

There's no GN app going off what the welcome pack suggests as it only mentions On Track Thameslink.

Last time I checked it was still entirely the same map from the Silverlink days.

Must admit I'm a little annoyed the Govia apps don't run on Windows Phone.. Quite a lot of front line staff use Windows Phone 8.1 now and the FCC app saves us a lot of time when dealing with pax vs using the blackberrys.. Guess we'll have to use the FGW app if Govia don't want to make one for us!

I'd imagine the existing app might well just be transferred over to Govias po session and then rebranded.

As far as I am aware all the TOC apps on WP are all the same app anyway.
