Currently on the 1654 Waterloo to Dorking, and it's travelling fast to Raynes Park (annoying a number of passenges who obviously wanted intermediate stations). There was no advance notice and only a brief announcement from the guard.

The train is made up of only one 455 instead of two, but other than that I cannot think why it's running like this; it left on time and everything else is normal. Does anyone know why?

It did give a nice 455 run though :P

The short formation might be why, recently they've been running short trains Fast in order to avoid accumulating delays due to excessive dwell times.

There were also reports of a points failure earlier which caused some curtailments but I can't seem to find anything about that.
