Wasn't this mentioned on last week's News Quiz on Radio 4?

Have you seen the state of their strippers :P

I'd certainly pay for them to take off this!

A while ago I asked the boss if I could order some strippers on account. After a confused moment he realised I was on about strippers, wire rather than anything nefarious!

There are usually voucher codes online which can bring the price down. I remember me and my mate a few years ago pigged out on about £50 worth of Dominos which we only paid £20 for .

I thought about having Dominos recently, but then I went to the Pizza Hut along the road from it and for the same price got pizza that was much nicer.

Dominos is at best mediocre, with bland tomato sauce and pizza regularly overcooked in my experience, and it's very overpriced for what it is. These days I'll always choose Pizza Hut or Papa John's over Dominos, because they're both so much better

Pizza is usually expensive wherever you go, apart from the ones you get in the supermarket and cook yourself. The cheapest place where I can think you can get a decent size pizza is costco cafe and it's about £6.99 and its huge. People have been known to go in just to takeway the pizza and take it home.

Well, me and the missus couldn't find any other take-aways open between Guildford town centre and the hotel at 1 in the morning

We get a seemingly constant stream of Dominos leaflets through the front door plastered with various offers, though in nearly 30 years of living here I don't recollect ever darkening their doorstep!

I don't get the Dominos hype either, find it medicore for the money at best.

Depends when you live, I'm near the University in Birmingham (Selly Oak) for much of the year and there is at least four or five takeaway places that do cheap pizza to cater for a student budget.;) Some of it is not bad at all.

I wonder if these strippers are as greasy looking as their pizzas.
I've never seen pizza with such a big layer of grease before.

If they're selling them for £20, then they're probably worth less than £20, definitely not £50.

Inflating the price and then offering everything at a discount used to be the sole preserve of furniture and carpet sellers but now everyone is at it.

They must be laughing their heads off when some fool turns up and pays teh "original" price.

Guildford has a Dominos? Isn't that a bit down-market for them? ;)
Yeah, hardly up to the towns’ typical standard.;)

Ah, the wonders and delights of Selly Oaks’ “greasy mile” of take-aways and fast food eateries. I know it well. :D There are some very good deals to be had there!

Sainsburys around here will cook their £2-4 "create your own" pizzas for an extra £1 whilst you do your shop. Always found this a good deal.

Think cosco is £7.99 and is 18 inches if I have remembered correctly. (or £1.65 for a slice)
It is also decent pizza...

Sainsbury's and Asda in-store pizzas are pretty good, though I normally cook them myself rather than take them home. Costco pizzas are great and can feed the 5000.

I miss La Porchetta in Muswell Hill. £7 for a Calzone, hand-made in front of you at the front of the pizzeria. Bliss.
