As am travelling to a friend's wedding via train to and fro Alton on a Saturday coming up.

Just wondered if anyone knows what is the rolling stock used over the weekend both Saturday and Sunday on the Alton to London Waterloo line say if there are no engineering works or alterations taking place?

And does anyone have a diagram allocation of the rolling stock used for the Alton to London Waterloo and vice versa services or is it difficult to say?

I expect it will be 450's.

If you have an urgent desire to travel on a 444 hen changing at woking might be a possible ....

At Alton the watercress line endpoints ... and has more interesting stock. The alton bus rally is also coming up soon on the 20th AFAIK

Saturday they should all be 8-car 450s. Sunday they should all be 4-car 450s, attaching to an additional 4 or 8-car 450, depending on the time of day, at Woking. On Sunday the Alton and Basingstoke services run combined between Woking and London Waterloo.
