Presumably another one being stored prior to the CGs. I believe quite a number are expected up from London - so imagine plenty more will appear.

80 is the number of vehicles believed to be heading north from London, but I'm not sure whether they'll all end up temporarily in East Scotland.

33439 has apparently headed south to Lincoln.

From what I've heard from mates at Perth, Inveralmond is to house some of them, not sure how many though.

I gather inspections are being carried out at a variety of depots across East/West Scotland, prior to them being sent to Glasgow for the CG work in a few weeks time.

I'm fairly certain that whatever First have sub-contracted to stagecoach doesn't start until much later than that, as I understood it was spectator P&R work they were doing, and actual events are spread over a maximum of 12 days. Suppose we'll find out soon enough though.

Aye there's 12 days of competition, but there's a week of training beforehand at the venues which requires transport for the athletes, and also the media who are also getting bussed to the venues the week before to get everything set up...

It looks like the 4 London Tridents that were at Blochairn have now left, either that or they'll well hidden at the depot...

Just out of interest if possible, could the mods possible merge this thread with the Western thread and rename the whole thing 'Stagecoach Scotland'?

Just a thought I had seeing as there have been a few discussions regarding Glasgow in this thread as well...

A small number of levenmouth area School contracts, currently operated by A1 coaches of Methil, have been handed over to Stagecoach Fife from the start of the new school term. Registrations are trickling in, but at the moment, according to the Dundee Area Bus Forum three new registrations by Fife Scottish Omnibuses have appeared.

Dunno what you mean by "handed over", they simply won the new tender for some that A1 had on one year contracts. Think they were the ones M&W or Bay handed back last summer.

Has Perth's 22505 been for a complete overhaul? Seats has been re-upholstered and it sounds like it's MAN engine has been taken out and replaced with something completely different as it absolutely flies along..

It was fitted with a Cummins engine last year, although it has been back at Smile's, Newcastle for warranty work and has only recently returned to normal service again.
The five at Dundee all fly along, so no surprise this one does too!

It goes like the proverbial off a shovel...The Cummins engines seem to go much better than the MAN units that they were originally fitted with...

There could also be a slow but steady standardisation process going on? I note all new Solo SRs are Cummins engined in the last 2 orders?

I'm pretty sure that 16921-4 from glenrothes are due to become strathtay buses again to replace the olys at arbroath and dundee before the schools return later this month.
