Me and my daughter will be at Crewe and I hope for a quick look round the heritage centre before heading back.

I will be at crewe as well, managed to knock 50p off the train ticket price.

Also, there are leaflets with an offer on entry to the heritage centre. You need valid train tickets. It's in the North Staffordshire line leaflets so I'm unsure if its any tickets valid at Crewe or just those on that line.

I'll be on the 0350 (0415 WTT) out of Brighton, then the 0452 from Three Bridges to St Pancakes, then the 0624 to Crewe from Euston, with a friend boarding at Milton Keynes Central. Fun, fun, fun. ;)

From the comments over on Freightmaster forum, it looks like the Eastleigh railtour will be not be 68 hauled after all (57s seem the most likely)....I just hope DRS at least have one 68 running to hear the noise - main reason I'm going.... :)

Had a great day out today despite the appalling weather. Got a couple of nice photos and caught up with a very good friend. :)

Excellent day, it peed it down most of the day but it was so humid it didnt really matter. Had a good
look around 68008, the engine is quite small considering the power output.
As for the layout, there was a lot squeezed into a small site and it was laid out as best as they could.
A bit of variety in the food available would have been nice for those who dont eat meat but what was there was reasonably priced and quite tasty.

Overall I would say it was a 9 out of 10 event, so a big well done to the organisers and people who made it happen, looking forward to the next one.

It was amazing. I cabbed 68006 and had a look around the engine room; a really nice piece of equipment.

Alex17595: What class 153 were you on?
