Was watching that one unfold at Derby - seemed to me that only the 1818 MML Leeds train got through with all XC services and most MML Sheffield services cancelled with a lot of buses lining up in the car park.

Live departure boards saying opposite about the EMT Sheffield services. What time was this?

I ended up getting the 1824 Plymouth train from Derby to Brum which was restarted at Derby formed by sets arriving from the South that got cancelled going north.
As far as I know it was:

EM: Buses Sheffield to Derby and Nottingham, with a very limited train service on the former by late evening once TBW had been set up.

XC: Suspended Liverpool/Sheffield to Birmingham/Derby, but by the evening able to run a Sheffield to Chesterfield shuttle and most trains as far north as Derby so essentially suspended Chesterfield to Derby.

what annoyed me today was, the 1444 Nottingham - Skegness service was originally formed of 153313 and 153384, but 313 had problems with its MCBs and everyone had to pile into 1 coach for the 2 1/4 hour journey! The reason this was also anoying was because 313 is the only EMT unit in exFNW blue/gold livery, even though it is exATW!!

The 1818 and other jobbies go through to Neville Hill for stabling - which is why I suspect those services were allowed through to Chesterfield from Derby running under whatever system was in place.

I miss those Summer and Christmas holidays :( You will be pleased to know that in response to my earlier reply to this thread, though, I did not get hit by another branch and I made the 13 mile-or-so trip home from Woking okay (without getting lost around Knaphill/St Johns for once!) with the petrol light flashing the entire way (the last bar on the display dropped off on my way there!). Drove past 6 petrol stations on the way home and all were shut - but then it was 23.30 on a Sunday night I suppose.

The fact I have work (and a "Team Meeting") to look forward to in 7 hours and I'm still wide awake.

That and people who pull into the outside lane of motorways but don't match the speed of the rest of the traffic

Hmm, the fools who decided that 3am/4am would be a good time to make a racket this morning...

Well what annoyed me today - I had just sat down to have lunch, eating away and my mate decides to 'Accidentally' press the fire alarm. Meaning he dragged the whole school and me (I was having a Yoghurt at the time) into the car park for a registration to make sure we weren't burning alive.

Excellent time to make a racket!

You'd hate university I think!

Heh, guess where I am?

It seems that some people don't care about anyone other than themselves, and see no reason why people would want to get some sleep.
