What Camera You get Max?

I went for the Nikon D40 in the end, because I really wanted a DSLR and it's the cheapest one out there (£257 I got it for). I know it has its limitations (particularly with lense compatability), but it was recommended to me by a family friend who manages a camera shop and is also a part time amateur photographer. And internet reviews appear to be pretty good.

I've tried it out and so far I'm impressed. I'm going to have to learn all the manual features though

Yeah lens compatibility is the thing that made me shy away from it & I speak as a Nikon User of 20 Years plus

Mind you, at present, I don't really need loads of lenses. If I ever get into photography big time I'll probably consider an upgrade. But it's a good camera to get me started and help me to learn the ropes

-A little RC helicopter. (missus banned me from flying the big electric & Nitro ones in the house!)
-An RC Jeep Wrangler (as I cant wait to get My 1 to 1 scale one back & its great fun to chase the cats around with)
-Call of Duty 4 (PC)
-Crate of Cobra indian beer.
-The mother of all bean bags for the living room (about 6ftx6ft!)
-Along lost lines book.

-Car mats.
