Anyway instead we take the Cardiff bus route 13 to Cardiff Central Bus Station, departing at 0955, and departing at 1003 on a Sunday Morning.

We next take a journey to the coastal area and board the 1020 Cardiff Bus service 96A to Barry Island (Marine Hotel on Friars Road) that arrives there at 1059 on Sunday morning.

It is a short Sunday morning walk along Breaksea Drive to Barry Island station, where we take the ATW rail replacement bus service to Cardiff Central at 1126, arriving at 1211.

In this instance, we just run on the normal working timetable. So we'd arrive at Cardiff Central at 1154. We don't take into account engineering works on a particular weekend

Following the many journeys taken with the principal operator in the Welsh capital, we then take a service operated by a different company and walk to Cowbridge Road West, where we board the 1800 First in South Wales service X2 to Porthcawl (John Street), arriving there at 1909 on Sunday evening.

We now take the Stagecoach South Wales route 72/172 (it is a stay on the bus, it just keeps going connection advertised as such, so I am assuming it is valid as one thing) leaving at 2020 and arriving at Aberdare bus station at 2218 on a Sunday evening.

Aberdare has a truly shocking service on a Sunday evening, so we call it a night before boarding the 0710 Stagecoach in South Wales service 9 to Merthyr Tydfil (Bus Station), arriving there at 0750 on Monday morning.

In a hope that we may still eventually reach the destination of Bangor on Dee that we had intended to visit earlier, we take the first step by returning to the Wrexham area as a way of achieving this and board the 1942 Arriva North West service 1 to Wrexham bus station that arrives there at 2029 on Monday evening. (We have lost two hours of daylight by the journey to and from Chester)
