To be fair, in Paul's defence, the timetable for the tram service is very vague and only lists the name of the place, hence why he checked to see where we were. Fleetwood has about six tram stops in fairness. It's like saying we're going to board a service to London. London where?

But anyway I worked out where we were so it's no problem now

The next morning we board the first Blacpool Transport service 11 of the day, the roughly 0725 to Lytham Square, arriving at 0756 on a Friday Morning.

Following our very pleasant use of buses (of many different operators) in Blackpool and the surrounding area, we then walk to the railway station, which is just within the allowance of 0.5 miles, where we board 2F53, the 1619 Northern service to Liverpool Lime Street, arriving there at 1729 on Friday afternoon.

We make a note of the minimum connection time here and decide upon a long cross-country rail service and board the 1752 EMT service to Wymondham that arrives there at 2258 on Friday evening.

I am pleased to report that this visit is not one of my many hospital visits to receive treatment, but will be our second such visit with my good lady wife to see her 85 year old eldest sister, normally resident in Thornton Cleveleys, who has been transferred to Clifton Hospital in Lytham for recuperative measures after her treatment in the Blackpool Victoria Hospital. A drive in the 4x4 to our parking base at Manchester Airport, then a First TPE service from Manchester Airport to Blackpool North followed by a journey on the the Blackpool Transport number 7 bus to the stop outside the grounds of the hospital is far more relaxing than my good lady wife having to battle the Friday traffic on the M6 and the M55. Of course, the discounts afforded by the use of our Senior Railcards plus free bus travel using our ENCTS passes from Blackpool to Lytham do come in handy.
