That poor Class 37 :( purely hypothetically, how much do people reckon it would cost to 1. Buy it and 2. Restore it and place it on a preserved railway?

A bogie overhaul alone, can cost up to £100K for the pair.
Looks like an investment for a lottery winner, easy come, easy go !!
If it's been robbed for spare parts, the power unit and generator may well be incomplete, besides the usual smaller components that are normally first to go.
Maybe you could be looking in the region of £200K to get it up and running again ?

Since there are over 50 37s 'preserved' (in various states) already, there'd be no point trying to do anything with one as knackered as that looks!
