The timetable being run is normal as far as I know but services might experience minor delays in the area. Much of the area is subject to temporary speed restrictions and because of the long signalling sections services can't follow as closely as normal.

Does anyone happen to know exactly what speed the restrictions are? And where from/to?

Going up road from Dawlish it's 30 past the main breach site, then rising to 60 (35 for freight) to Dawlish Warren.

Yes, excellent. Copy pit route, run-round loop at Tod - Gricers would come from far and wide. Replica L&Y open thirds, you say? They haven't got any hidden away in the carriage sidingd at Colne? And where will we shed the 0-6-0s? - they've built a nasty motorway on Rose Grove Shed, although some say that its still there underneath the tarmac . . .

Firstly.That webcam was only in use while the engineering works was continuing.
Secondly. Can anyone tell me if the signals are being fixed this weekend at Dawlish? Some people on here said that they were but, I havn`t seen anything on Network Rail website. Thanks for any help.

Definitely closing this weekend, the work starts on Saturday evening, and apparently the tours will be let through on the Sunday despite the closure.

Usually about 75- 85mins. More if the xc/hst services are late.

The tours are timed very close together, the bits that need to be attached to the rails wont effect the running of the trains.

Maybe the staff will be on tea break when the tours go through?
I wonder how many of them will be taking sneaky pictures of the tours?

My work involves sitting behind a computer for most of the day. Happily, it is a 27" Mac so I have the live webcam in the bottom left hand corner of my screen. It's a joy to hear the sea and the gulls, as well as the regular movements back and forth I also like the train tracker underneath which links into RTT. As I type 1S21 has just gone past, en route to Glasgow. Lovely.

Three questions, please.

1. How many driver changes will there be on that service?
2. A thickish cable has appeared on the wall since last weekend that doesn't look permanent?
3. The track bed looks to have changed colour over the weeks. Is it what I think it is?
