Stopping Short - A little advice please

Hi All,

Planning a trip from Bromley South to Deal and trying to figure out the best deal from all the tips and hints that I have picked up from regularly looking at this forum...

I believe that the current Cheap Deal Return is £30.30, from what I have picked up here, the best option is for me to try to obtain a fare which is not priced by SouthEastern as these are normally cheaper. In this instance I was thinking of using a Southern priced-fare...Three Bridges to Deal...which is about £20 from memory.

Is this ticket valid if I start short at Bromley South? I was thinking that the route could be Three Bridges - Clapham Junction - Beckenham Junction - Orpington - Deal. Hence I am thinking of starting short???

If this approach is not valid can anyone share any cheaper alternatives than the £30.30 day return set by SE Trains. Sorry - no railcard and just a day-trip.

You've not long missed the £10 to Deal deal but Southeastern currently have a 25% off sale so your £33.30 fare is only £24.65 on their site.

Edit: Or even your £30.30 from Bromley is £22.45

Splitting at Faversham gets the cost down to £27.70, minus discount. If the 25% applies you're back to about £20 without the possible hassle !
