i no this is on national rail website but what im wondering is, is there somthing like a freight version where you can follow the freight trains

Why would there be? What reason do the public have for knowing?

I don't really think theres any need to be so blunt!

Anyway, there are services available such as Freightmaster, but they are by subscription, and as far as I'm aware aren't real-time.

Pretty sure there's a ** portal but it's unique login and you need your account specially "tweaked" to have access to it. If you have no idea what it's called then you shouldn't have it. Those that do then they would already have it. No it's not TOPS TRUST or Thales info Systems.

I guess GEN sites and Freightmaster are the best bet as already said above.
