For myself and ive not got my hopes up for nothing ! Any ideas if its just an interview or weather theres tests to pass aswel ? Cheers
No tests as such I believe, mine is tomorrow
Ste that's what happened to me "Dear Christopher" instead of Paul. I emailed them straight back and they sent me a reply saying they basically send out loads of emails so mistakes often happen :-/. No tests, just the example based interview with a few questions. I can only imagine this is northerns first step of getting shot of the no marks before spending money sending people to the assessment centre.

Just got home, now the waiting game starts !!

Just under an hour, they were very nice and friendly, I did get a few comments when waiting that as I am female it's easier to get in! Won't pass me the assessments is all I can say, if or should I say when I get on it will be through merit!! .... Sorry venting again lol

Out of interest what have you done to prep?
I'm going through the forum to pick up as much info as I can, trying to relate life experiences to the essential qualities and looking into Northern.
I'm not a free talker, I'd rather say the minimum than go on and on which may go against me. How have you prepared?

It's only my 2nd interview in 10 yr, just make sure you can back up everything you have put on your application form, they are really really nice and relaxed, and good luck, I'm on email alert watch now :/

Think I have definitely lucked out for the Wigan position. Need to review my application thoroughly to see where I may be going wrong. I wonder if my location may have gone against me though, especially if there has been a lot of more local candidates apply. If so, I am hoping that Liverpool opens up soon. Maybe I'll have a better shout at that. They say things happen for a reason.

Mine was 30 when I sat mine and passed, so I wouldnt get to hung up on it.
Hi guys. Just thought would say good luck to all that are going through this process. I had my interview this morning. I thought I was prepared but felt nervous as soon as it started. But the interviewers were friendly and helped break the early nerves. Got stuck at one stage when my mind went blank about my examples. But regrouped and finally remembered what I wanted to say. Not sure really it took 45mins, they seemed positive and were giving signs that what I was saying was what they wanted to hear but who knows.
Back at work now and all I can think about is the interview and when I might hear from them. On the look out!

Good luck, out of interest what sort of questions do they ask? I've got an interview with another TOC next week for depot driver
