I believe there was an issue getting hold of any more LED bulbs. One of the units (I thought 419) has one coach LED and one fluorescent!

As there are only 2 or 3 mk3s - and no DVT - painted, they couldn't send out a complete rake at the moment anyway!

Coaches are being painted in pairs apparently, the aim is to have two full rakes done by the end of march.

Is there a thread about the EMU's?

I was at Colchester tonight and around 00:08 a pair of 317's stopped en-route to Clacton. The second 317 had two coaches in the brand new livery with the interior all covered up.

Any ideas on what was going on here?

Three Mk3s were returned to Crown Point from Wolverton today by 47810 , two in the new livery, 11091 and 12129, also 12164 still in modified ONE livery.

that would be the 317722 demonstrator you probably saw where two coaches are in nxea livery and the other two are in ga livery

Livery list on page 1 fully updated with Mark 3 and 90 repaints.

Interestingly, the coaches that have just come back used to carry NXEA livery.

Oh wow. It stopped at Colchester and two staff got in the cab, I imagine it was quite squashed in there.

The odd thing was I swear the new interior was all covered up as if it had just been done, but the demonstrator has been in this state since November? There were quite a few people onboard in the new style coaches.

Any idea why it was going to Clacton?

Also while at Colchester I saw 90011 (I think) with two of the new Abellio GA coaches.. first time i've seen them in real life and I think they looked pretty smart!

Why was 12164 still in 'one' livery? I thought they were being repainted at Wolverton too.

I think they came via Ilford where 12164 was being worked on so all three were bought to Crown Point together.

I noticed the first two MK3 repaints in the same rake this afternoon, forming what I believe was the 15:00 to Liverpool Street from Norwich. Very smart indeed, in contrast to the ONE-liveried examples which are really looking shabby now.

Should be great to see a full rake repainted in due course. When are the DVTs being sent off for their repaint?

12164 was one of the coaches involved in the minor derailment at liverpool street which maneged to rerail itself in january 2013

153314 moved to Doncaster yesterday under its own power for flood damage repairs only! It should come back via Wolverton.

156417 went to Wolverton today for repaint and spruce up so expect 407 back any day. I don't know why 416 didn't go first, but I know 417 has been stopped for a while as it needs new wheelsets, so maybe Wolverton are doing them at the same time.

Anyone have handy the current 379 and 317 diagrams on west anglia? I am particularly interested in which Liv St - Cambridge services are booked 379.

A posting elsewhere from a year ago listed the below as 379, does this look right? Full diagrams would be appreciated if available. Thanks in advance

Cambridge: 0647, 0717, 0747, 0918, 1004, 1021, 1221, 1304, 1321, 1640, 1851 and 2251

Liverpool St: 0558, 0803, 0833, 1058, 1128, 1158, 1358, 1428, 1458, 1707, 1737, 1807 and 2028

They used to tell you on the timetable which class was running the service

I know a couple of 379 services, the 7:48 from Cambridge is 379, also 18:30 and 19:37 from Ely to Kings Lynn are normally 379 but not guaranteed

2 out of 3 services to Kings Lynn are 379, then the run back to Cambridge empty as an 8 car just after 9pm

One goes back down empty in the morning

47818 also on hire from DRS for short set, joining 47810.
47813 failed a few times and is not in service at the minute(replaced with 47818). 47841 also on hire, used as a spare
