Hearing whispers that there's going to be an FGW 125 power car in Singapore Airlines livery. It's a credible source, I just wonder what it's for? Excited nonetheless

I imagine it's an advertising opportunity in the same way the HP power car came about. Can't wait to see it if it's a true rumour...

Sounds like the kind of tacky thing that Emirates would do, I thought Singapore Airlines had more class.

There may have some truth behind this as recently First Great Western and Singapore airlines have paired up to offer through ticketing from FGW stations and Singapore airline flights.

Power car 43021 is going from OOC by road tomorrow to Heathrow to be photographed with a plane. Not sure about the livery though

This will look fantastic.. genuinely looking forward to seeing this. The powercar will look brilliant next to an A380.

Now where was my invite for a "them and us" crew photo with the Singapore Airlines girls? ;)

Do we know if this took place, and if so any photos of the HST powercar?

The photos were taken today (they had to move the power car overnight to cross the runways). 43021 may be heading back to Old Oak Common tonight, if not it'll be tomorrow.

Not seen any pictures yet. (It has definately happened though)

This is promoting a new through-ticketing deal with Singapore Airlines, HEx and FGW. If you fly with Singapore Airlines via Heathrow you can book one ticket for all three services. I'm guessing this is only available through travel agent's booking systems.

43163 while undergoing repair had them applied. Hopefully it hasn't broken down, but should be on the way to Cornwall now around the Newbury area

Gotta say that in my opinion it looks better than either the HP Livery or the surprisingly popular Diamond Jubilee 43186 carried in 2012..

Any variety is good in my book though...

I actually don't mind it, as a matter of personal taste i quite like this sort of design anyway, but I can see how it does look a little on the odd side. Especially where the vinyl is a slightly darker shade of blue to the painted cab.

One thing of note that is missing though is... 43163 was until recently 43163 'Exeter Power Signalbox'.
