Anyone seen any of those markers of companies/retail places etc in the most bizarre place?

I was looking at the map for Ilford depot earlier and noticed that Kwick Fit is located in Ilford depot!

Do they do the tyre turning on the wheel lathe road nowadays?!

For a local one, according to the map, one of the grade I cottages across the road is a Boot's chemist apparently

I've noticed a few odd locations for the flags.

One can submit a correction. I did that for a pub I saw flagged in the wrong place.

There was a site with a restaurant icon in the middle of a civil service building near Victoria, which turned out to be a group lobbying for less dazzling headlights on road vehicles. May have been Bing not Google.

My favourite was a Barnstaple hotel shown on LateRooms as being smack in the middle of the River Taw.

It probably is at the moment...!!

Returning to the subject, yes - I've noticed a lot of labels that are in the wrong place, some of them quite noticably. It seems that the closer in you zoom, the more errors there are.

It is not just the markers either; sometime basic Google searches churn out absolute rubbish - I recently searched "ten pin bowling Berwick upon Tweed" and got no result closer than about 100 miles while the top result was somewhere near The Wash... I have a screenshot of that somewhere; I'll try to find it and post it up...
