Evening all, hope we've all had a great new year!

I know from speaking to a few on here some of us have our assessments on Friday in Leeds for the Wigan trainee conductor roles.

I've spent every spare minute practising tests (SCAAT / GBT) ticket checking and cash handling etc and feel well prepared and confident for the day.

Just wondering who else has had an assessment recently as in the email it advises there is no longer a role play or structured interview but what happens at the end of the day, would we find out if successful there and then?

I know a few have had similar queries I'm just curious to find out in advance even though I'm sure we'll be told of the next stages on the day.

:)

Hi Hidden

I had my assessment back in November. We had to wait a week for our results. Im sure they will explain on the day.

Hopefully they find you a vacancy soon!

Had my assessment today with others for Leeds, Liverpool, Blackpool and Cumbria, tough but fun!

Any indication as to when next course is?

I have second interview at leeds next week for Skipton trainee conductor, should imagine training at leeds will be similar to Bolton date wise.

Unfortunately no mention of dates, nor no mention of any second interview either?

There are several courses pending this year spread throughout 2014.

At Northern I believe the process is; Interview, assessment, medical, start training and then references during training.

Best of luck.

Have you passed your assessment previously Andrew?

There is no need for you to have a second interview hidden, I'm only attending another interview because my old interview score I obtained in May 2013 has expired.

Mrs Sunday morning

Yes, I passed my conductor assessment in June last year and was placed on hold, the September course was cancelled so I was put in the talent pool.

I have been told that there is plenty on recruitment at Leeds and Skipton this year by HR so just a case of passing the interview again and then the medical.

Are Northern Careers for real.... having interviews for jobs 70 miles away? They've got a training centre at Bolton. I hear they are now refusing to offer travel passes to interviews too. Quite a poor show, especially for those without work.

The interview was in Wigan and the assessment centre in Leeds.
