Been messing about with KRS for the last week & I'm really enjoying it.
Started My first route & its coming on ok.

As for the pic, well these 158's are complex. Press Z for engine start up...ok... Q for AWS cancel....alright...

Besides that, there was nothing to do with being on the all day long ferryman diagram & being bored silly. <shunt 175 to yard (ok if I have to)/get routed all around the station in a 158 to get to the other side (We have over 150 different shunt moves here & the signalmen like to test your route knowledge)/ detach 158/attach 153 to HOW service/attach 158 to cardiff servive...oh bugger dont attach as its a 175> repeat until 17:15:neutral:

What was wrong with it? Looks fine to me! Certainly not got horns (well, devil ones anyway...).

Apart from the very very many failures,the non multi failure,the instant derailment problem,the throw a prop shaft 170ft into a field ,the seems to have killed more people that the rest of the fleet put together. The fact that you can feel blood running down the bulkhead,the fact that I refuse to prep the thing due to what I might find below the solebar. Oh yeah its a great 158.

Actually it goes really good. I had it as part of a six car 158 Jew train special from Aber to Bham a few months ago... Echos's of shindlers list everpresent it was fine except when one of the buggers pulled a passcom.:evil5:

There is a major worldwide Jewish meet at aberystwth every year......Dont ask me why it just is. ATW put on special formations of six car 158's to try & fit them in. It gets pretty mental as these people are from all over the world & few speak english nevermind welsh!
Fun for us though as we have to guess where a 6 car 158 will fit on a platform as we are only used to 4 cars. Plus you can get asked lots of questions when you arrive, but as they dont speak any english its all fun... "Akkkk yakkkk ukkkk daaakkk Yuuuk" "yeah platform 1 mate"

& when the the easy life scum vacate the halls the jews take over for the summer. I have no idea why people from all over the world would go to aberystwyth but they do. Most dont pay for their tickets, leave rubbish all over the units & generally act like complete tossers.


At least I'm on crewe locals & HOW for the rest of the week, with a couple of bham's thrown in. DRS is calling me what with there proper trains (bar 66's) & all. Getting pretty fed up of passengers these days.

Since you sign the Brum route again now with the new signalling, could you answer us a niggling question?

Is the signal perched on the west end of Codsall's up platform a repeater? If it is it seems to fail remarkably often, only reason I'm asking is that I could have sworn I saw an R on the end of the identifying plate.

The signal nearest codsall platform on the up is not a repeater, its a proper stop signal. The signalling is wierd on that line but basically its almost proper signalling at wellington,madley & cosford. But the rest of the line from upton magna to billbrook is all setup as one repeater & then one signal. The repeater/distant for the one near codsall is just around the corner by stocking farm crossing on the way back down the bank.

I was thinking the same thing after seing it fail on a trip back from the pub one night. Oh the woes of living in telford and having to commute to Wolverhampton

You are quite correct, as usual with any new signalling system install these days they seem to make a complete pigs ear out of it. Great news that the same people are working on the ertm's as well.

thats looking good! I tried to make a Heritage steam centre type thing and failed miserably as I couldn't make a run round loop

how the hell do you remove the buffers at the end of the track panels before connecting them? And how do you add stock? The manual didnt help with this problem :P

And another thing, I just made a simple route and put the blue 7F in it. I freeplayed it and i couldnt get into the loco. And now I can't alter it because I don't know how to edit routes, all you can do is make new ones.

GRRRR its so unclear!!!
