I am waiting for the release of tickets to Cardiff on the March 15/16 weekend to watch the rugby.

Tonight only the 15th is available.

There are no advance fares there I take it they come later?

I wish there was a standard formula to know when to log on to see these. People on here say "you can travel cheaply if you book early" however it not exactly easy is it?

I also notice NRE site states group save not available due to the rugby.

So that's a screw you without trying to be subtle about it!

A bit like the restaurant I was in on Thursday night that said no pints, bottles only. When challenged the waiter said "because it's Christmas"! Shameless!

Group save is a way to encourage people to use quieter services, due to the rugby there wont be any quiet services, not rocket science is it! :roll:

Advance fares are released approximately 11-12 weeks in advance, so you'll need to wait a little while more.

I was going to point to this page with all the booking horizons on it… until I realised that it doesn't even say FGW tickets for 15 March are available yet, presumably because it was last updated before the weekend.

Reservations are only open up to 14 March according to NRE:

If reservations are available, but Advance tickets are not, then maybe they've not yet allocated the quota of Advance tickets?
