Tom, from what I can see of your site, you are a very much a novice web designer.

You've hit the nail on the head with that second point Craig. Certain people think that you're not allowed to have an opinion on their custom made site unless you're a professional web designer.

I never said I was a tip top web designer:roll:.

I think Flickr is cheaper to upgrade (and you get unlimited limits mostly), which reminds me I need to renew mine soon.

I've been taking photos properly (ie trying to put some thought into them, rather than just taking snapshots) for about 5 years and I got my SLR about a year ago.

Depends if you just want hosting or to make a site.

Hosting wise I say 50webs. They have a online HTML editor and have a quite large amount of space of storage for free members.

I've never had any problems with Geocities. Free and fairly basic, but then thats about the extent of what we were after for the site!

There's nothing wrong with Fotopic. It saves a lot of mucking about for people who don't want to spend time managing/designing their own websites, and it comes in different grades depending on what you want to pay - or not, as the case may be.

And their support is pretty good too.

Loading images is simple, as are the settings. And it does have a lot of features. If people wish, they can make money by selling prints (or in Premium and Plus, by selling advertising).

Like anything, it has its problems from time to time, but it allows me to showcase over 9,300 images, add to them all the time, and lets me concentrate on the day job - taking pictures - not managing a website.
