Is that going up by £1 every year? I know it was £9 in 2011-12.
It was £2 the first time I did it...
Certainly the last two (hopefully not too much of a long term trend !).
Still cracking value at the moment though.

I'm not sure what passengers are to make of "Southern owned journeys"
Also it seems strange to exclude Gatwick Express for the discounted tickets when the same tickets would normally be valid on Gatwick Express at the full price. This makes returning from Victoria to Brighton a bit awkward in the evening peak.

In off peak services that are any permitted it says that there is an online discount.
This ticket would be valid on GAT express (and is discounted.)

Many thanks but when I try your link and type in my email address and code I get the message "This promotion has expired". As it clearly hasn't I suspect it's another invitation-only promo.

I see Virgin's definition of "morning" is "09:30 to 13:59" !
On searching for cheap tickets from Crewe, the only ones in the "morning" are at 13:29 !!

The T&Cs say "You must carry your NUS, Graduate or Apprentice extra card with you on your journey and present it to rail staff on request." I'd hazard a guess there might be something in the status code field on the ticket, or a discount shown next to the price.

It worked for me (i didn't actually buy a ticket but it let me get as far as the payment page)
Can you differentiate? One used the NUS Promo, the other didn't. The prices printed on the tickets are what was actually paid in both cases.

Valid between any two stations with no break of journey.

If I buy a Glasgow Inverness ticket and board at Perth to go to Inverness returning another day from Inverness to Glasgow
that is OK as I have not broken my journey (which starts at Kings Cross)

If you are talking about an East Cost service, Club 55 is NOT valid on it, only on Scotrail services.

No Ihad not planned to use it on East Coast.
I plan to get a first to Perth and use Club 55 as i explained thereafter starting short at Perth on a Glasgow Inverness ticket

Well you didn't make youself very clear, the way you said it sounds as if you intend to take the Highland Chieftain from London to Inverness but with two tickets, one for London to Perth and then the ticket you mentioned above! You did say you were starting at Kings Cross in your earlier post.
