You want to become a Train Driver...

For those late teens or older people who are really considering or desperately want to be a Train Driver, I have a had really good reviews from this website :

It's a CD-ROM so therefore has to be paid for, but I just thought as i've been talking to a few people who have recommended i'd pass something on about it. Many people have decided against the idea of being a Train Driver and for many of them, it has driven them to want the job even more.

So from what i've heard it's a real eye-opener.

Don't need a CD to tell me if I want to be a train driver or not. Already done a driver experience, loved it, desperate to get into such a career.

Theres more to the job than people appreciate.

Passengers think it's just like driving a car but it isn't.

Concentration plays a big part.On watching some car drivers that's not their strong point.

More responsible than watching paint dry. Afterall, drivers have to keep an eye out for you suicidal workers on the tracks (particuarly in the St Denys area ).

How can he follow in your footsteps if you aren't actually a driver? Oddly no-one from GNER, Northern or Virgin at Newcastle have heard of you, or Virgin from other depots too!

Have to say you gave it away when you said Newcastle - York (a route you sign) was EPS tilt enabled. The fact you keep changing your age in posts too doesn't help, 28 isn't "early twenties" either...

There's quite a lot of people who BS on forums about doing railway jobs I've noticed. It's highly amusing to real railway employees (either past or present) because it's so obvious. I'm afraid you don't learn these jobs through playing MSTS and reading rail magazines...

Why doesn't he know the correct information about the routes he allegedly signs then?

It'd be easy enough for me to pull up a video of an HST and say I'm driving it...
