For me badly I really mucked up the reaction test and didn't pass it so did not get interviewed. One of my lives gone and now have to wait 6 months before can apply again to a TOC/FOC. I really hope the others did a lot better than me. Good luck to those of you yet to take the second assessment day.

Really sorry to hear that mate , the nerves have most definitely kicked in for me now ........This is my 3rd time of applying , and I've progressed one stage further into the process each time although I haven't technically lost a life yet.

Good luck to everyone for tomorrow

There has to be winners and losers in this process, unfortunately on this occasion I am a loser but it has just strengthened my resolve to make sure I am a winner next time round (assuming I get this far again!). Remain positive and hopefully you will be one of the winners. Good luck to all!!

DBS are giving results at the end of stage 2 days - I passed! 6 attended and 2 had been asked to leave by lunchtime - which just left the CBI in the p.m

How is everyone getting on with part 2 this week? Pretty quiet on here, making me nervous for Friday! ??????

Went on Monday and passed (you get told on the day) - 6 of us there, 2 had been asked to go by lunchtime. Tough day, but ok if you've done your prep!

Dont be nervous mate its not that bad, i sat mine on monday and passed well throughout the whole process i was told so i'm just waiting for a managers interview date now. The dtg test is not to bad really. For the structured interview just make sure whatever you write down just make sure your prepared to talk about it in great depth. Good luck for friday :)

Fully agree, did mine today , went ok ..... thought I'd messed up the DTG as I had to stop a couple of times when it sped up, but turned out I hadn't.

Next up is Managers interview but won't find out when for a few weeks yet.

Good luck to all

The written comms is fairly straight forward to be honest so would not worry to much. The structured interview is different for everyone i suppose depending on examples you give.

.

Thanks mate , I'd applied for Warrington.

Batman : To save reposting information that's already on the forums elsewhere.......I found this : but this is only a guide really , the questions they may ask depend entirely on you and what you say to them , as with all interviews they will just probe to find out more.

Congratulations as well mate. It was good to meet you yesterday... I hope you got back ok on the M62! I passed as well (after what felt like a very long wait for that last interview slot!) so that makes 5 of us passed from yesterday :)

Did everybody who passed yesterday all apply for the same depot? It sounds like it will be a tough choice when it comes to the managers interviews if a lot of people have passed and are through to the final leg...eeek!

Yes very true, but then they will look at the level you passed at in each sector of the assesment process i guess. Pass, good pass or very good pass. All the best to you all, did they tell you a rough time of managers dates? They said anywhere from a week to a month to me depending on manager. Waiting game i guess

Cheers Rob , and back at ya... Congrats , I was gunna hang around to see you or Darren but just wanted to get back on the road asap. I did get back on the 62 and it was much easier than Mr Garmins wierd and wacky route! Still had to fight my way through never ending traffic all the way back though :-x

wonder when we will be given managers interview dates.

According to the timeline in the original job advert, they were going to start informing people as of the 14th (yesterday) but from what i can gather, they haven't been following that very rigidly, so i guess we'll just have to sit tight.

I think DBS have been very good when you look at the time that other TOC's/FOC's are taking to respond in some of the other threads on here.

Have you already done day 2 assessments and criterion based interview?

Hi yes agreed the process has been very quick, they did say anything up to 4-6 weeks but maybe sooner.

Yes thats pretty much it, after the written exercises they split us into 2 groups. 1 group did reactions whilst other group filled form out for cbi. Then swapped over and you were told if ya had passed so far. If you passed then you were interviewed after lunch or went home there and then. My interview was about 30-40 mins i would say although it felt a lot quicker. Good luck for tomorrow :)

Anybody got dates for interviews yet? Or have any idea where they will be or just any update :)

No, still awaiting the call.

When i passed the assessment in Doncaster, i was told that the Manager's interview would be "more local" but no location was mentioned.

No nothing as yet, they did say maybe a few weeks before contacted as probably want get all assessments out the way then do interviews. I believe the interviews are at a more local location as in region/depot applied for. Hopefully not to much longer :)

Hi all, I'm doing my stage 2 tomorrow and was wondering if any of yous could give any examples of questions you were asked in the structured interview? This is my first position I've applied for and I'm nervous as hell to be honest. I'm pretty confident on the actual tests but haven't really got a clue what to expect in the structured interview part, should I be lucky enough to get through. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Good luck to all applying

The usual 5 mate.

Working alone.
Emergency situation.
Difficult problem.
Rules and procedures.
2 week training course or greatest achievement.

Obviously you're not guaranteed to get the same ones, but those are what i had

Yeah you were bang on, I'm currently in the car park waiting for the criteria based interview after passing this morning's part. Unfortunately 1 lad (out of 6 of us) has failed at one stage this morning (the reaction test I would guess). Best of luck to each and everyone of yous still in with a shout.
