ATW trainee conductor roles

Hi, I see ATW are hiring trainee conductors. Could anyone out there give brief details of what sort of Rotas conductors work to? An average working week for example, many thanks.

Depends on where u are based!

North conductors work a 4 day week with a 5 day Long weekend off (fri-tue) every 3rd week.commited Sundays every so often unless u can find someone else to work it for you

All depots are on the 4 day week, every third weekend 5 days off pattern now, with the exception of Carmarthen, and Cardiff Mainline (but new conductors are no longer recruited directly to the Mainline side of Cardiff, they're sent to the Valleys depot first which is a 4 day week). Wouldn't be too surprised if those depots get changed over as well soon enough. Like Glenn said, you're rostered for 1 in 3 sundays unless you're on the Valleys where they have fewer, about 1 in 5 I think it is.

If it's a 35 hour week over 4 days the average will be near enough 8h 45m

That's because your salary is a lot higher than other conductors. I believe Virgin's train managers are on 38k but work a lot of hours and no PNBs if running late.

41 hour week at Virgin, sundays inside and as you say no diagrammed PNB's.
