This FGW unit is very smart in the new plain blue livery with improved bike storage signage on the door

Not sure if this is the LM unit

All local units will be completed according to my trainer

They do indeed look better. The ex LM units are 325 and 333 I think.

Didn't realise it had improved bicycle space? The only interior work the three units that got repainted (329, 361 and 369) that I was aware of was new vestibule carpets and new toilet flooring.

All 153 will get this treatment when they go to Doncaster for C4 work

Any indication of when the 150/2s will get their C2 DMUTony? Don't think they'll be much left of some of the bodysides of certain units to repaint at this rate.

I have no idea rich I know we are doing the C4s in house!

I know what you mean by the rotting body sides it is causing a lot of door problems as all the plate work on the door pockets are pushing against the doors due to rust!

Turbos possibly, they're getting an overhaul either now or very soon.

They will be as it's part of the work being done at Wolverton. The 150/2s should be eventually repainted as well (unfortunately!).

I agree, The new plain blue scheme is smart but very dull at the same time. It's a shame they couldn't have found a way of using the Local Lines dynamic Line in a single vinyl band, as per the Dynamic Lines on the Mk3s. Sadly I gather First is less fond of the Dynamic Lines image - such a shame if they are, considering after so long they finally seem to have found an brand that actually looks smart and modern.

The Local Lines Dynamic Livery is/was good as it had all the names of towns/villages that were operated/served by FGW and it was also part of First's (new) corporate livery. Was better then their previous "barbie" livery in my opinion.

Having them removed just feels like they no longer care and are just getting the trains ready for whoever may get the franchise next (and cheaper having them in just two colours).

The dynamic lines livery has been awful for the bodywork because it is vinyl though, and it also started to look scruffy rather quickly. The plain blue looks a lot smarter IMO and should look better for longer.
