Hi guys,

Just curious as to whether anyone who applied to London Midland around April time and got the email mentioning assessment dates via the new system will be starting in October and running throughout the year have heard any further from London Midland about potential assessment dates? It looks like we could be the first TOC to use the new system? Pretty daunting having no advice to go on! Looking forward to hearing from LM and the other candidates and hopefully meeting you!

I've still not heard anything. If you have already passed the stage 1 & 2 with another TOC does that mean you can go straight to DM interview? There seems to be conflicting opinions on here.

I Had the same, i just assumed because i failed a previous assessment back in June that i would have to wait untill January for mine as the email stated October onwards. Might it be worth an email just to enquire??

I had assessments with Chiltern last week. Despite passing them previoulsy with FGW, I had to retake them all - the new testing regime has started I assume. I dopn't know if you regain your two lives, maybe worth asking OPC or the TOC you've applied for.

Not heard anything since the last email, but it did say the assesments would be held over the next 12 months so could be a short or a long wait!
The longer you have to wait then maybe some info will out about the new tests.

Did you undertake the new testing regime?

Sorry to inform you but I have a bad feeling that London Midland are not bothered about training new drivers. They now have an advert for QUALIFIED driver in Bletchly.

https://www.londonmidlandcareers.co....aspx/Jobs/Qualified Train Driver (Bletchley)

Yeah I saw that, although they are nearly always advertising for qualified's for everywhere...even when the trainee vacancies were up.

Fair enough, hope to hear something over the next however long then! :)

Not sure, have to get onto LM about it! Although with the new testing regime I'd imagine any previous passes (like I have) are invalid :(

Was that when the advert had been taken off the web prematurely, well before closing date?
Apparently server could not take all traffic. However in first few days they received enough applications. They did not bothered to re-advertise.
LM is my local TOC, however there is something about them I do not like.
Must be their attitude I suppose.
