Virgin Trains Class 221 at Greenhill Junction *RARE* (14/08/13)

On the way to London for the "Auld Enemy" Left Perth at 6am. Caught the Voyager sitting at Greenhill Junction at about 7am on the Cumbernauld Down Line with headlight as if it were going to Stirling. What was it there for and Why ?

Yes but your link shows it working via Shotts...
No doubt it goes via Falkirk Grahamston sometimes.
I should think there will be a lot more switching of routes while E-G is electrified.

But an empty 5-car 221 into Edinburgh at peak times seems a bit of a waste.
