Would like to be there before six, the earlier the better! Just a single, preferably a XC HST connecting to a FGW one at BPW, sorry to be awkward!

I have a 16-25 railcard, I guess travelling to Cathays won't make much of a difference to price and I should just pay the £1.90.

What have you found so far?

I can't imagine you're going to beat the through fare of £16.85! (there is no need to split at Cardiff and pay for Cardiff - Cathays separately)

You can't get there before 0600 if you leave the same day but assuming you mean by 1800, there's plenty of choice.

I can't seem to find £16.85- the cheapest is £36.95?

I do mean 1800 hours- sorry for any confusion! £16.55 would get me as far as cheltenham!

The Advance fare i gave was a HST, No a ticket from Cheltenham to Ebbw Vale will not be valid at Cathays.

You may find our Fares Guide helpful. Advance tickets do not permit break of journey. Most walk-up tickets do allow a break of journey.

Even if break of journey was permitted, Cathays is 'deviating from route' for a Cardiff for Ebbw Vale ticket.

I shall use the Ebbw ticket til Cardiff and have my BoJ there! I also have a return portion from CNM back home to use- FGW again offering a very cheap 1st class advance (£7.90) so another day out booked!
