I have a non-commercial website for collecting and making available online, old photographs of Ystradgynlais and district (South Wales).
http://sites.google.com/site/oldystradgynlais
I have only a few railway scans at present, and I'm looking for old photos of the railway stations etc that used to be in the area.
The stations were Ystradgynlais, Abercrave, Colbren Junction, Gwys, Penwyllt / Craig y nos, and Gurnos Junction.
Can anyone help me by advising how I can get good quality scans or prints of any of these stations please?
Any help or suggestions will be very gratefully received! Thank you.
Alan

There are a number of photos of the area as it is now on Wikimedia Commons. You may find them useful and you can reproduce them freely so long as you quote the source.

I can post some possibly useful links if no one minds.

Thanks Wyvern.
I appreciate the suggestion, but if you meant links to photos as it is now it's only old photos I'm after.

You may find a lot of photos in your local studies library, or even on the net (like our local "Picture the Past") The only problem is getting permission to reproduce them - since they want to make money from them.

Thanks Wyvern. I've been trying all that for a long time without much success (apart from Colbren Junction).
I have seen some photos of Ystradgynlais Station in a couple of books - they were credited to R M Casserley, D Lawrence and the Tudor Watkins Collection.
I've no idea whom to contact regarding getting prints/scans of any of these photos though. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Also does anyone know if there are any lists available anywhere for Casserley and/or Lens of Sutton etc?

R M Casserley. Irwell press would know, as they have published some of his photos in Brill and bylines.
I think Lens of Sutton ended up with Ian Allan, didn't they?

Ok, I've found a Colbren Junction 1935 and a Craig-y-nos 1912 from an ebay Lens of Sutton seller.
Has anyone got the STATIONS UK, No 6 Wales and the West Country catalogue? If so can you let me know if any of the stations I mentioned in my first post are included please? (The minimum order for catalogues is £10 and there might not be any in it.)
Thanks! Alan
