Anyone else see this last night (Fri 9/8/13)?

Fascinating look behind the scenes at the world's busiest station - 35 platforms, a train every 3 seconds. Never complain about overcrowding on UK trains again!

Having been there, I can vouch for the authenticity.

Available on replay and repeated next Thursday (15/8/13) at 11.10 am.

I spent two weeks in Tokyo earlier this year and was totally blown away by the sheer number of trains, the number of passengers and the organisation required to keep trains running every 2 minutes or so on so many lines without any delay.

The programme was interesting, if a little shallow.

EDIT: I just noticed that it was listed as the last of four programmes. Were all four about Shinjuku?

No, it was a series of 4 on the 'world's busiest' - train station, airport, border crossing and I can't remember the last one.

The train station episode was meant to be the first one, although didn't air on it's planned date. This was the same day as the Bretigny accident in Paris, so I'm wondering whether that was why?

(I was out of the country, and only noticed when we flicked over and it wasn't on... didn't hear why.)

The hotel in Las Vegas was the other one, watched that one too, very interesting same goes for the others, apart from one thing. The amount of times I heard 'At the world's busiest..' in each program was so much, if I had a pound for every time it was said in the program I'd be rich! Seemed to be written into the script as many times as possible.

Just seen the comments on Demand5 too, it appears that many people tried recording it on the air date and got Ice Road Truckers instead with no explanation as to why it changed. Maybe that's why it's not on Demand5 yet..

Thank you orienteer for giving me/everyone a time and date for a repeat, am annoyed it's not on Demand 5!

Like others have said the station itself really is massive and the frequency of trains makes Clapham Junction look tame, oh and yes a hell of alot more punctual.

Watched the repeat yesterday lunchtime. Very interesting. Not sure why they had that American bloke, Michael Fisch, commenting though, just seemed the be stating the obvious. Although at one point I did expect him to say "There is no typhoon approaching!"

I watched this on Demand5 about three weeks ago - I assumed I'd missed the broadcast!
