Delays on the West Coast main line again due to animals on the line. This is the 2nd time in a few weeks that I am aware of. Anyone aware why this is happening.

A train collided with a cow near Wolverton. This caused damage to the train and congestion to other trains in the area. The broken down train has been moved, but trains have been disrupted.
Because of this, there are delays of up to 30 minutes between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby. There is no current estimate for when a normal service will resume.

'A train collided with a cow'.........I don't know why but I can't help laughing!

It cud have been done quicker if they'd had the contingency plan off pat. Otherwise they are on the horns of a dilemma.

Can't believe we can't keep animals off the West Coast main line.

If you lived in the countryside you would know how difficult it is to keep animals in anywhere. Unless we want heavy security style fencing all along the track side.
