Final ever episode of T&J... I don't want to spoil it but it really doesn't end too pleasantly at all, even more so considering the target audience... But that was long ago and way off track here!

No it isn't off track at all. I had to shield my cats' eyes, especially after 2:29. I was so upset I put my foot through the computer and have sent the bill to TV Espana, who seem to have broadcast it.

My jaw literally dropped to the ground when I read about this in the papers. How sad and pathetic that someone felt the need to complain about an innocent 43 year old film that's brought joy to millions.

Bit of an over-reaction to a single complaint. The BBFC are hardly going to ban the film now, are they? No use getting all worked up about it.
Well I'm surprised that they don't ban The Great St Trinians Train Robbery then.
That contains far more incidents of children "playing around on the railways", eg. driving trains, changing points and signals, having several trains within one block section.....etc. etc.

Even Brief Encounter shows Stanley Holloway as a station worker jumping down from the platform to cross the tracks on a foggy day, where he'd have no chance of seeing an approaching train. And he wasn't wearing hi-viz! :roll:
Yes, I know he'd have been able to hear an approaching steam train... etc!

Well, I learn something new every day. I know the Titfield Thunderbolt film used the closed station of Monkton Combe in North Somerset as the station in that film, but it now appears that Titchfield in the the southern environs of Hampshire has also made a bid for fame.
