Any ideas what is working/what worked these diagrams?

first off is this diagram which, as far as I can make out is a class 170, but its a STP move not a WTT stock move, which makes me wonder if something has gone on or in a rare instance, a voyager has operated a BHM - LEI Local (it has been known to happen...)

Secondly i am puzzled by this Peterborough to Leicester Diagram which is on a STP basis, but it doesn't seem to have been activated for today yet. what makes this more interesting is that it refers to Leicester Car Sidings. The oly thing I can think that means is that the train terminates at the sidings next to platform 4... and with it being timed for 60MPH, im think its a rail tamper or something, however, it says on RTT that the train weight is 715 tonnes, so what it is is beyond me...

if anyone has any ideas on these two that would be great as I'm definitely scratching me head over the second one.

The first schedule (not diagram!) looks like nothing more than a positioning move, perhaps required because of engineering work somewhere over the weekend? No idea on the second, I'm afraid.

Can't be a Voyager, Voyagers don't ever go to Tyseley depot.

ah cheers, near to Burton, i can understand the location for logistics but Burton didn't cross my mind

That weight is just a standard timing load weight and does not necessarily relate to the actual train.

There are quite a few others (1455 is a common one) if you look through.

5H50 was a defective class 170 arriving from Birmingham New Street and going empty stock to Tyseley, it was replaced by one of the spare units in the carriage sidings.

Any freight move booked to Leicester CS is a tamper or stoneblower or other variety of on track plant.

I am away from work at the moment, but 715 tonnes is a popular timing weight for an engineering train, possibly Class 66 plus ballast wagons, which may well be moving towards some planned work.

which would make sense for this movement here. likely case it is a tamper and I trust Alex and his knowledge as well. last week there was line problems and a suspect broken rail around kilby area so thats probably related to this

First one was 6J39, 1900 colas plant from Peterborough to Leicester CS cancelled at TOC request.

Second one is a path for 0Z59 light engine, presumably there in case 6O59 from Bardon Hill to Angerstein Wharf/Bow requires to run via Corby to avoid a run round at Knighton (just drop the loco off the back) at a guess.

That timing load is the most populated with running times in the systems so it gets used pretty much all the time for STP engineering moves and light freight. The next one that is most used for engineering traffic is 2020 tonnes.
