As you may know, EMT have a red dot day from parkway coming up. However I'm wondering if the ticket is only valid from East Midlands Parkway [EMD], or if I could start at Mansfield. I'll be going with family members so would like to avoid any confrontation.

Thanks gentlemen, Yew

If it's a ranger the only way they would know that you didn't start at E Mids Pway is if you started very early at Mansfield.

Presumably you have to buy it at EMD but you can buy it in advance (ie today)

It's a Day Ranger. The 'Issued At' station isn't relevant. It can only be issued at East Midlands Parkway (EMD).

Okay, the info on EMT's website seemed a little ambiguous :)

Thank you!

You might be able to argue that you made this journey from EMD to Mansfield:

Depart EMD: 0013
Arrive Chesterfield 0116

Depart Chesterfield Coach Station 0200
(National Express service 465 - the overnight one to London)
Arrive Mansfield 0225

I am tempted to get a seat reservation and "travel" on the 0013 from EMD to Sheffield in order to leave on an very early train from SHF.
