Hello all. Hoepfully someone can help me.

Due to my 16-25 railcard expiring in September, I thought this is the best time to finally go on a sleeper train. I've booked seated tickets for Aberdeen on the 15th July, coming back 18th Juily.

What are the seats like? Is it worth paying for a bed, and if so can I do this with an Advance ticket?

From the information I can find, is it correct to say there are no powerpoints at seats, only in the Lounge car and in the berths?

Also, would I be able to use the 1st Class lounge at Aberdeen if I was to buy a cheap first class ticket with ScotRail?

Thanks!

The seats are normal 1st class seats (2 on one side, 1 on the other). Quite comfortable and when I was younger I was quite happy to use them. Nowadays, I wouldn't consider them.

ScotRail do sell Bargain Berths here , which can be good value, although there's no railcard discount, but since you've already booked your seats it's too late for that.

The National Rail website says that the £38 ScotRail supplement may be "restricted" for discounted tickets, but it doesn't say it isn't available with advance tickets (whereas it makes it clear they are NOT allowed on the Riviera service to Penzance).
