With sun forecast and a long weekend upon us, a trip to the Aire Valley was certainly in order to record shots of three WCRC ECS' returning to base at Carnforth Steamtown.
The first train of the day, headed by blue 57313, ran mercifully late, getting the sun on the nose for the approach to Shipley Dockfield Jn

Next up was a decidedly average shot of 61994 and 60009 on a loco transfer move ex-York NRM. The landscape is wasted on such a short train!
