P.S. I couldn 't find any other reference to stations at Stella North & South Power Stations the last time we came this way a little while ago, so I assume the compliers of the wiki diagram have used the wrong symbols. I would be pleased to be proved wrong, though./I]

You may be interested to know that there is a thread upon the "Nostalgia" forum which refers to the Newcastle and Carlisle Railway entry upon wikipedia and the diagram contained within the article. It appears that someone has very recently totally redrawn that diagram and where the three power stations of Dunston, Stella North and Stella South are shown (all with their correct closure dates), the person carrying out this task has made a basic error of not showing the normal symbol of a red circle with a white inner that are used for power stations, goods depots and non-passenger establishments whensoever these items are mention of such diagrams, the pink dot that is used to show closed railway stations has been inadvertently been entered in error against the power stations.
