A BTL7 was working at 73A ninewells hospital to arbroath today, don't know where it went afterwards. Hoping it'll have worked a later service back to ninewells hospital.

The B9TLs at Aberhill have been moved off route 95 and onto routes 6/7 due to grounding issues.

These are still being used on the 95 and are on a variety of routes

It's hardly surprising that Fife is becoming the concetration point for B7/B9TLs, when you consider just how rare they are in the overall Stagecoach fleet, it makes sense to concentrate them as much as possible.

One of the B7TL's got reversed into by an E300 at Leven today, smashed the windscreen.

They will be Scania/E300SGs.

It is no longer possible to get 46 seat E300s; the MAN chassis option has been long discontinued. Now there's only the option of 42 seats for an all-ADL version, or 43 in a Scania based E300.

I was still surprised that Fife lost the ex-Taylink single deckers to Wigan, but gained double deckers (B9TLs) in return - not a bad bit of business for Fife!

Just a shame that the likelyhood of "wind" problems over the two bridges limit the number of double deckers that the Fife fleet will have

True, there aren't too many low bridges in Fife on bus routes. Not since they rerouted the 39 off Dunnikier Road in Kirkcaldy anyway.

It wasn't business on the part of Fife - they were just too slow in getting the ALX300s reallocated. Head Office saw them spare, and forcibly requested them for Wigan.

Conversely, Manchester made it plain that they would be withdrawing the B9TLs, and standard cascade practice was initiated where other regions bid for the vehicles. Fife narrowly pipped East Midlands to them, mainly because of Fife's looming decker age crisis.

So I take it Fife did get the B9 because of that fire at ferrymill? Will this mean Fife fleet will be fully low floor?

Fife did not get the B9s just because of the fire at Ferrymill, although I've no doubt that is part of the reason. The simple version is that they proved a need for the vehicles over and above the other regions.

Eventually, yes the Fife fleet will be all low floor, but for the moment the priority is replacing Olympians as they are aged out of school contracts, but that does go hand in hand with low floors taking over.

B7R on the 44B at Glenrothes at 0830 this morning. Odd that Glenrothes would put out a coach on this run. The 43 around the same time is usually a ALX300, but often one of the Dart Pointers will get a run to Leven and back.

There are 7 04 plate B7TLs ex First Chester & Wirral; 16960-6. I'm not aware of any in service yet as they need some TLC.

There are 10 09 plate B9TLs ex First Wigan; 16950-9. 4 at Aberhill and 3 each at Glenrothes and Cowdenbeath.

If however you mean B9R coaches, then for now there are only 2 with East Scotland, these being 53717/8 at Dundee.

Dunfermline has ?4 plate gems I've seen three, there have non high back seats and older display signs. One of then has new stagecoach seat covers.

That will be the ex-Wirral ones then. As I said before, they're in a bit of a state so its not exactly surprising that one has been retrimmed.

Incidentally, Monday marked teh day when the vehicles and services on the Rennies and Strathtay Scottish licences moved onto the Fife Scottish Omnibuses licence. Nothing outward has changed though.
