Noticed that Benitez is looking in England for his next job. Chelsea supporters may not like him, but his record stands up for itself. Twice Champion's of Spain, twice Champion's League finalist, UEFA Cup winner with Valencia. Improved Liverpool in the Premier League each season until he fell out with Hicks and Gillett and twice Champion's League finalists, once he got a grip of the Chelsea job he has taken them to third in the Premier League and a possible Europa League title. Can't blame him for Chelsea's Champions League exit. I think he needs money to succeed, perhaps Real Madrid or PSG next? City?

Been. Dont expect to be able to park near the ground. You either have to use the park and ride which is a shambles after the game or park at Brighton station and get the train to Falmer.
A stadium built without fans in mind. What is this current obsession of not allowing road tax paying car drivers to park anywhere.
The withdean was a place and a half. Miles away from the pitch. one season when we went down there it was torrential rain. There was no roof on the away end and the Brighton stewards were distributing these cheap rain coats to everyone. Im sure there will be pictures knocking around but these coats basically made it look like there was a gathering of the ku klux klan in the away end. the pictures were comical.

Oh, yes.I'll be on the train. My mates have either gone to uni or settled in the NE now so we won't be driving that's for sure.
My list (to scratch off) for next year is growing: Amex, Reebok, Pride Park, St Andrews, Portman Road and Riverside. Would be nice if can get Stadium of Light or Villa Park (sorry!) in as well. Looks to be a very expensive season.
Shame no Molineux though.

Same here. Although I'm not partial to Leeds as a club, Elland Road is a great venue, and I will want to go again.
Several other musts for me: Hillsbrough, City Ground, Ewood Park and of course Walkers. (I can almost hear money falling out of my pocket.)

How do people feel the entry of BT into the Televised Football Market is going to affect the prices charged ?
As I understand it they are making the matches they screen free to their own Broadband customers.
Sky may have seen off Setanta and the other pretenders but surely BT is a more daunting prospect.
BT is after all bigger than Sky with much deeper pockets than it's former challengers.

IMO, Man City should avoid Pellegrini, not because he's foriegn, or has previously managed Real Madrid, simply because he's nearly 60. People will start speculating as to when he'll retire (like they did with Fergie once he reached 60).
Instead, what they need is a young(ish) manager (about 45-50), who has a track record of getting the best out of the players available at the club, spending wisely, and making some inspired signings, oh be able to speak English as well.

Actually in all fairness I think it is a bad idea to sack Mancini, for the first time in years we have stability AND success over the last few seasons (in terms of fighting for top spot and reaching finals). I feel that it is wrong to do it now, especially considering how Man United will be a little destabilised without Fergie, Mancini should have been given one more season.
Don't get me wrong, he should have been given a light beating for some serious howlers this season although in hindsight I think he has probably lost the respect of most if not all of the players after going back on his word about Pantilimon playing in the Final, he certainly lost mine.

The sport is only free to their broadband customers if said customer also has an existing Bt vision subscription, the sport is normally a premium addition.

I totally agree with you on that one. Not being funny, but Mancini was the man who made the City dream a reality, goes one season without success (but still finished runner up in League + FA cup) and he's sacked. City should have wanted to use the opportunity of Fergie leaving, when arguably they (City) now have more stability for once in a while next season.
With regards to an earlier post, I too have to congratulate you guys on the signing of Nastasic. He's come in for not a lot of money and slotted in perfectly. Good signing, and one who perhaps hasn't received the plaudits he deserves for his performances this year.
