I am one of the organisers of the Aviation and transport fair which is held every year at Manchester Airport. We recently had a road transportable Class 40 Cab which was very popular, unfortunately I have lost this chaps contact details. Can anyone put me in touch again, also are there any other cabs or rail exhibits that could be exhibited at the event ?

Also while I am on, the event is dedicated to all form of transport and we invite societies to attend to publicise there activities, so if you are a club, society, preservation group or think your organisation would benefit in attending we can offer you a place at the event.

Details of the event are here

Ive seen the cab, you could ask the Class 40 preservation society, I would think the owner is a member of that group.

The only other cab I am aware of is from a Deltic, again best place to ask will the Deltic preservation society who own it.

Hope this sets the ball rolling for you.

Yes the DPS has 2 cabs 55008 The Green Howards and 55021 Argyll and Sutherland Highlander. IIRC 021 has been converted into a simulator and is mounted on a road trailer, so could be a possibility for your event. Would also be a draw for the punters that they can take the controls.
I had a go myself at the fab 4 event at Barrow Hill, it was amazing fun.

Here is a link to the DPS's 'contact us' page, maybe someone here can help you: http://www.thedps.co.uk/staticpages/index.php?page=contact
