Hi all,

As it says on the tin really. Would love to incorporate a 121 ride on the national network into one of my railway rambles at some point soon!

I know that Chiltern had a unit??? and that arriva wales had one I think.

anyway, if there is any gen or info, then it will be greatfully received!

cheers,

Bruce :D

Bubbles is gone :(

Aylesbury to Princes Risborough. That's pretty much it now that the Bay is not 121-operated.

Was reported that it's life in service had come to an end about a month ago. Thread on Forum at the time. To go to Chiltern for spares to keep their fleet in service.

There are quite a few 121s about on heritage railways too. Swanage Railway has one (as well as that other heritage railway stalwart, a 108).

Bubbles isn't exactly 'gone' as such, she's just in Canton depot. Or is she about to be scrapped?

ATW's 121032 has been transferred to Chiltern, mainly for cannibalizing spare parts for the other two 121s.

As Ivo suggested. Only one National Rail route remains with 121 service. 121034 and 121020 the only units left.

Oh what a shame. I did like 032. I only went on it twice but I did like the way it chugged along the Bay Line! Don't quite think a 153 will be as interesting! It was plagued with problems though and a Pacer or 150/153 would always replace it! :P
