I'm 100% certain that Stagecoach Solo 47489 has been re-engined with a Cummins unit.

This photo, which I took the other day, shows the three grills the bus has on the offside as well as an extra filler point below the emergency exit door. It has two small grills on the nearside. All other Solos in the batch have the three large grills on the nearside with no grills at all on the offside.

A thing of beauty seen from the loading dock at Warcop Station this afternoon.

Thanks! We had a cracking day on our first trip with her.

Can confirm it was at Smiles recently for a new unit.

The Dumpy (MPD) are regulars on the 685...

20960 was used as we had 4 Optares off early morning, it replaced 34710 which went into the 38.

Barrow 47133 latest in for repaint.

Thanks.

Get plenty of variety on the 685 Brampton when there is a Solo shortage. I presume Carlisle just has enough Solos to cover their normal workings with no spares and as the 685 route follows the A69 any available vehicle can be used so the 685 Solo is the first to get reallocated elsewhere.

On Saturday, saw a S TRJ reg MAN arriving in Brampton to work ther 09.04 Brampton -> Carlisle 685 - don't see these very often in Brampton - the last time was many months ago not long after these arrived from Manchester and before they became mainly allocated to Citi services.

61 branded 34691 on the 79/179 replacing a Enviro.

20944 also on the 79/179 having a very rare spell operating out of Carlisle.

Bugger! Missed the B10M on the 79. Saw 34691 though. Not a good day for Enviro 300s, as 34710 and 34717 were on the 104. 62 branded 34698 found its way onto 61/61A.

I also got my first sighting of 47754 in Carlisle, it being on the short 685s.

Day trip out Brampton to Keswick (today Thursday).

59 reg MAN 24121 on 0845 685 Newcastle to Carlisle
59 reg MAN with green route branding on 1050 554 Carlisle to Keswick
05 reg Dart Carlisle Citi route 62 branded arrived in Keswick bus station at 1730 on route 86 and departed on 1740 554 Keswick to Carlisle. Sometime before Reays E200 arrived at 1630 on 555R with no passengers and then departed on 1640 554R to Carlisle with about 6 passengers - how long before 555R, 554R and 300R cease - over the last few weeks I have seen a few 300Rs around Monday lunchtime, usually at West Tower St Carlisle with single digit passenger numbers. I do not think these routes can support 2 operators.
X4/X5 - being worked by various vehicles between 1630 and 1900 - saw S-KRM coach, 59 reg coach, 55 reg type dart (1545 X5 Workington to Keswick and 1645 X5 Keswick to Workington), Solo (1710 X5 Keswick to Penrith) and B10M (X4 1615 Workington to Penrith - pass Keswick at 1720) bus at Keswick bus station.
And a 30/31 branded 59 reg MAN parked empty for a few minutes at Castle Inn Bassenthwaite heading towards Workngton at around 1300.

Usual Scania d/ds on 555. Open top trident on 68.

Presume you mean Open Top on 78 not 68.

300R is withdrawn in 5 weeks.

Open topper on the 68 would be interesting! Dayrider, gloves & woolly hat for Madannie :D

Notices & Proceedings for 29th March has the 302R being withdrawn in May but has 300R being amended, suggesting some retention of a Carlisle to Maryport service.

Does anyone have any more details? It all seems a bit odd (but then a lot of what Reays do seems a bit odd to me)

They are only retaining the 300R school run to Nelson Thomlinson.

2 Solos seen on the 86 (Fleetwood-Knott End) which is usually in the hands of Wyre Villager branded 36184/36185. Fleetwood hasn't got that many Solos based there, just a handful for the 84 so no idea why both 60 plate Enviros are off the road/elsewhere.

Driving past Fleetwood depot tonight was Trident 18146 from the 68 (Blackpool-Preston) and 22807, which is a strange visitor.

Sure it's 22807 at Carlusle for repaint tonight along with 18375.

I only saw the back of the bus, pretty sure the number was 22807. It's been a regular off Chorley for a bit. I'll not say it definitely is, as you're in a better position to know than I am. Looking at fleet list though, I'm struggling to find an ALX300 with a number I could've mistaken it for.

Can confirm its 22807 here for repaint all sanded down.

Due to the collapse of Maytree travel, it seems Stagecoach have picked up at least routes 553/559 in Bolton. Seen today was 33091 & 47001, both formerly of Stockport. Wigan depot are operating them

Saw 20710 heading into Carlisle along London Road this afternoon. As is the way of these things I was on a bus going the other way at the time :(.

Should have been 20711? You will be seeing a lot more of whichever has arrived :)

A whole fleet of K_DAOs for Carlisle City services would be nice.......

dream on!

I wrote it down as 20710, but it is not unknown for me to get these things wrong. Having (temporarily) impaired vision due to conjunctivitis doesn't help. Whichever it was, it was good to see.
