Are Glasgow runs still solely done by Dunfermline drivers? I was on an X27 last week from Dunfermline to Leven, and I'm probably wrong, but I'm positive that there was no driver swap at Dunfermline and the driver took it right through to Leven.

All X24/(most)X26 are done by Dunfermline drivers
All X27 are done by Aberhill.

The few X26 done by Aberhill are the ones which which operate to sunny Leven

Since Monday the x58/60 had two E300.

Ps is back on the k3 today, horay.

Hybrid e300 in dunfermline depot the other day.

The X24 had 24009 on it on Monday; the X27 has 18093 on it today, quite a mixture day by day.

Noticed a Solo on the 99 again yesterday, 99 branded E300's on the 23 and X60 today too. Odd as there was 2 B7's sitting spare at Kirkcaldy, not sure whether there was an issue with them though.

Are First getting rid of there PS's and other non low floors aswell? Still plenty kicking around Edinburgh and Glasgow.

That would explain the out of place buses recently. Sounds like Stagecoach are having it tough with breakdowns recently.

Trident 18010 has suffered fire damage. It's place at St Andrews has been taken by 18100 which has been freed up at Aberhill by the entry of 16952 into service.

Allocations for the B9TLs should be;
16950-3 Aberhill, service 95
16954-6 Glenrothes, service 36
16957-9 Cowdenbeath, service 33

At the very least some of the ex-London Tridents should move from Glenrothes to Rennies.

Almost all the expresses into Glenrothes were late this afternoon. Around 1 PM the X24 and X59 from Edinburgh/Glasgow and the X54 from Dundee were both 20 mins late, a few minutes delay on some other services. I know there are roadworks at Cadham Road End, but what was the delay from the South?

I was on the X60 at 1630 tonight from Edinburgh, no idea when it left St Andrew Square, but it was 25 minutes late at Queensferry Street. I just put it down to rush hour, but maybe something else. The lights at Ryans Bar cause a few minutes delay, but nothing great. Was only about 10 down at Kirkcaldy and 5 down on arrival at Leven.

With the schools now off for Easter, it's likely that the PS's will be rare in operation, as it's likely double deckers will be used to provide low floors wherever possible. Once the schools go back, things will return to normal.

Incidentally, the three ex Wigan B9TLs going to Glenrothes will mainly work from Newburgh outstation, with a fourth vehicle. Of course, all four vehicles will visit Glenrothes during the day for fuelling and cleaning, so they may not always finish up at Newburgh the same night.

Given that MAN are trying to win back Stagecoach's business, this morning's incident is hardly going to help their cause!

The identity of the unfortunate Kenetic is believed to be 22507 (SP56AGU). Going by the photograph of the bus in the Courier article, it's most definitely a goner.

VOSA registrations have started appearing today for Stagecoach (Scotland) Ltd and Strathtay Scottish Omnibuses Ltd transferring over to Fife Scottish Omnibuses Ltd license, effective 27th May.

16960-6 are due for Fife, these are 04 plated B7TLs, but have standard Firstgroup seats. No idea of where they'll be allocated to yet.

The PSs are being replaced by MANs where possible. At the moment they're hanging on because of contract requirements and the poor reliability of MANs.

I'd hardly say that East Scotland is getting a mixed bag - it has Olympians, B7TLs, B9TLs and Tridents on the decker front. The only differences are in the bodies these chassis have (Palatine, RL, Vyking, Gemini, ALX400 or E400).

Just 4 PS's remain, two at Glenrothes though they haven't been out this week, as the schools are off and older Tridents can cover for them), and two at Perth, one of which gets outstationed at Spittalfield.
