I have to disagree with that. If your talking RailUK Moderator's, you'd be looking at 2 to lock the topic, and 1 Administrator to supervise... :p

You maybe right. First of all, we've got to find the right key to lock the topic....

You want gen?

Actually - I have it on very good authority from a source that would know that the lightbulb in that room is going to be withdrawn and replaced by a strip-lighting unit. If you want to see an original lightbulb in that room this is your last chance... I suggest you make your way down there now!

Edit

Just in! Apparently due to a shortage of units the bulb is temporarily going to be replaced by a nice old fashioned gas light like we have in the old days!!! You're most likely to see it operating in late evening or possibly in early morning. Get down there fast!

replaced by a gas light....thats duff bulb gen. It won't happen for two reasons,

1.....H&S would not permit such a means of lighting, gas and flames being much too dangerous.

2.....Environmental considerations; there have been many complaints recently about about using gas lamps 'under the wires' where electrically powered lighting could have been used.

I think it's far more likely the bulb will be replaced by a solar powered 'plastic' LED or else another old bulb will be cascaded from elsewhere.

OK... we have the gen, we have a voice of reason to doubt the gen.

We now need:

- Someone to back up the duff gen
- 2 people to get excited about the duff gen
- Someone to provide a variation on the duff gen
- 2 people to back up the real gen
...

Also, 4 or 5 people to argue that the gen posted is complete and utter rubbish and that they have the real gen.....

And then everybody to flame the person who gets excited about the gen, where people then argue that it was duff and then everybody argues it is true...

Mojo! How could you?! The light bulb in my room is much more modern!

Then again, I miss the classic high-energy bulbs.

Yes then back again what livery is the Light bulb ? Is it a heritage light bulb ? and who's going to spend stupid amount of money to get haulage behind it?

And then me to look at the thread, decide the forums bonkers, and walk away.

Then I come along, and tell you that we've had a signal lamp failure has been detected at a signal between the old station at Madely (Crewe) and Stafford ;)

This requires another 78 Voyagers + 53 Pendolinos (o i mean members) to replace the even bigger lamp in the signal, compared to the original lightbulb.

One numpty rail employee gets lost on the way (and goes on an emergency diversion) to fixing the failed signal. Another 3 NR staff try to look for lost employee, but manager intervenes, and demands that he calls Health & Safety staff. (2 to deal with it, 3 to monitor the H*S staff, and 1 to supervise everyone)

By this time a 350 on the mainline is waiting at failed signal for 2 hours, on a hot summers day, resulting in chavs breaking emergency window with iPod and running riot on the WCML. (WCML is completely closed Crewe-Stafford, with trains diverted via Stoke and Stone)

This results to even more H&S staff being called in. By this time the lost NR employee has found the signal on his own, and fixed it, allowing the 350 to run to stafford at max of 50mph, due to broken window. (With chavs onboard) WCML reopens.

5 minutes later, the WCML is closed again, as up to 15 suspicious looking people are on the line, with odd looking orange jackets on. 10 police officers turn up, to investigate.

Police realise that it's a bunch of NR and H&S workers, lets them go, and re opens line.

By this time, a different signal has failed, this time between Stafford and Wolves, near Penkridge, forcing all of the allready delayed trains via Tamworth LL and Nuneaton.

The cycle repeats itself, and passengers eventually get home... somehow....

And i forgot to mention, in addition, a RUK member jumps the thread 3 months later with something totally useless and off topic, forcing 3 mods to lock the thread ;)
